CESNACOM (European Center for the study of applied negotiation and mediated conciliation) organizes, also in collaboration with Tonucci & Partners, NEG-MED skill training courses.

Courses presentations are about 4 hours long: there are 4 different ways the courses are run depending on if they cover (i) only negotiation or only mediation/conciliation and (ii) in depth study.

The standard Basic Course (What do negotiation and mediation mean?) length is 30/40 hours: apart form the lessons, participants will receive customized lecture notes while availing of services like distribution of the best textbooks on the market (almost all of which in English), projection of theory and practice videos, presentation of real cases, simulations and role plays on daily matters to let participants get used to NEG-MED principles in conflicts and disputes.

The standard Advanced Courses (How to negotiate and conciliate) length is 30/40 hours; all courses have a very specific and operative cut since they are based on Harvard Law School-like handbooks adjusted to the Italian situation: those handbooks constitute a “first aid manual” for high-tension situations where negotiator skills are hard-proofed. The use of the six complementary NEG-MED sciences (Sociology, Communication, Psychology, Economy, Ethic and Contract drafting) is fundamental to make the parties focus on the better mutual results side of the agreement (win-win approach). Role plays are selected from the Client professional context and based on real disputes.

Three libraries for a total of 330 volumes are in support of participants learning activities:

  1. One on NEG-MEG matter in general.
  2. Another one on the six complementary sciences (Sociology, Communication, Psychology, Economy, Ethic and Contract drafting).
  3. One on the main sectors of CESNACOM activities in juridical field (corporate, family, labor, consumer and users, entertainment, public administration, chambers of commerce) or in social field (prefectures, environment, districts, army and police, Red Cross).
